MBF announces the hiring of a New Director

Miami, FL. March 17, 2006 - MBF Healthcare Partners, LP announced today that it has named Matthew Sedgwick as one of its Directors.

Matt Sedgwick has worked in healthcare for over 5 years.  Prior to MBF Healthcare Partners, L.P., Mr. Sedgwick worked in the Business Development group at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee ("BCBST") where he worked on all aspects of the company's Strategic Reinvestment Initiative.  From 2001 until joining BCBST, Mr. Sedgwick worked at GE Healthcare Financial Services where he underwrote and originated credit facilities for healthcare companies.  From 1999 through 2001 Mr. Sedgwick was in the Analyst program at Morgan Stanley where he worked in the Financial Institutions group within the Investment Banking Division.  Mr Sedwick began his career in 1997 in the Research Department at Goldman Sachs where he worked for the II-ranked analyst covering the US Food Manufacturing sector.


Mr. Sedwick earned a Masters in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor of Business degree from The University of Georgia.
